F*D

We are moving.

Moving day out of NYC nears closer and closer (10 days as of this post). Things are going to get a little quiet around here. I wont have interwebs for a bit and ill be preoccupied with my new job and getting situated. I will queue some posts so followers will get some sporadic content.

Its still hard for me to know that I will be leaving the city i love and hate. I went down to the town to file some paper work and lease an apartment. Definite culture shock on my part. I dont know i am rambling on about this stuff considering it has nothing to do with photography, other that it helps assuage the feelings of uncertainty and anxiety. Hopefully i will adjust.

Anyway rant over. The image above is an image of a series that will go on my professional portfolio. I decided I want to pursue portrait photography seriously and maybe even make some money at it. I really do not know how to begin this mission but I know that:

1. Will be doing mostly environmental portraiture, based on my street background I think this will work for me.

2. I need to learn how to light a subject wether its artificial or available light.

3. I do not want to be a shitty portrait photographer.

If anyone has any other good pointers do let me know. No more rambling-ass posts - promise.

Mamiya 645 test roll.

Some boring images i took to make sure my 645 actually works. Medium format is fun. Shot on Ektar 100.
